The Story of MoonPath Circle
In Christian circles, we would be called a "house church." We own no property, but we do our ministry in space provided for us by members and friends who like what we do.
We started as a circle of six who have come together to form a church, to worship, to teach, to perform the services expected of clergy, and to ordain others as our clergy. We welcome new members who are in sympathy with our beliefs and practices. Over the past 18 year our members have grown to over 50 folks.
We celebrate at eight worship events, called sabbats, each year. We facilitate or present at a CUUPS Study Group 51 Thursdays a year in space provided by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Lauderdale. We perform weddings, dedications, memorials and such as we are asked.
We make use of the graphic arts, music, drumming, and song to further our worship, teaching and education.
The opportunity fell upon us to sponsor the Tequesta Drum Circle at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale Florida. We lead the worship events, volunteer workers, and contribute to support environmental and community outreach programs. We are a 501(c)(3) organization.
